Categories of Arbitrators
Arbitrators are divided into three categories according to the table below:

Arbitrator Benefits
- Obtaining a membership certificate from the Center.
- Inclusion in the list of arbitrators on the Centre’s website.
- Obtaining a membership statement from the Centre to the competent authorities.
- Nomination to give lectures and prepare training courses or practical workshops for participants in the centre.
- Obtaining reduced registration fees for the centre’s training courses and conferences.
- Appointment as an arbitrator in disputes submitted to the Center if required.
- Publishing research and arbitration and legal articles in the Centre’s Journal of Arbitration and Gulf Law.
Criteria
- Bachelor's degree
- The years of experience in the specialized field should not be less than 10 years.
- Successful completion of the Judges' Program (exemption from the program to those who have issued 5 arbitral awards).
- Successful completion of the Accreditation Program (Session Management), with exemption from this program for those who have issued (5) institutional arbitration judgments.
- No judicial ruling has been issued against him in a case involving misconduct and breach of honor and trust.
To restrict the unregistered arbitrator at the center:
- Bachelor's degree
- The years of experience in the specialized field should not be less than 10 years.
- Successful completion of the fellowship program at the center, with exemption from this program for those who have issued (5) institutional arbitration judgments.
- Successful completion of the Accreditation Program (Session Management), with exemption from this program for those who have issued (5) institutional arbitration judgments.
- No judicial ruling has been issued against him in a case involving misconduct and breach of honor and trust.
Correction of the Arbitrator’s Membership status(Practitioner/Accredited) registered with the Center:
- The practitioner/accredited arbitrator registered with the center and has an active membership will be directly registered without needing to participate in the Fellowship Program or the Accreditation Program (Session Management).
- The arbitrator registered with the center as a (practitioner/accredited) whose membership has expired and who submits a renewal request within one year from the date of expiry will follow the procedures based on the following cases:
- Exempt from participating in the Fellowship Program and the Accreditation Program (Session Management) if they have issued three (3) institutional arbitral awards.
- Exempt from participating in the Fellowship Program and required to participate in the Accreditation Program (Session Management) if they have issued fewer than three (3) institutional arbitral.
- An arbitrator registered with the center as a (practitioner/accredited) whose membership has expired and who did not renew it within one year from the expiry will be subject to the terms and conditions of a new registration application.
