Categories of Arbitrators
Arbitrators are divided into three categories according to the table below:

| Consulting Arbitrator | 15 years & up |
| Professional Arbitrator | 11 – 14 years |
| Fellow Arbitrator | 5 – 10 years |

Arbitrator Benefits
- Obtaining a membership certificate from the Center.
- Inclusion in the list of arbitrators on the Centre’s website.
- Obtaining a membership statement from the Centre to the competent authorities.
- Nomination to give lectures and prepare training courses or practical workshops for participants in the centre.
- Obtaining reduced registration fees for the centre’s training courses and conferences.
- Appointment as an arbitrator in disputes submitted to the Center if required.
- Publishing research and arbitration and legal articles in the Centre’s Journal of Arbitration and Gulf Law.
Criteria
Requirements for registering arbitrators:

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the area of specialization.

The applicant must have either:

Successfully completed the Fellowship Program and Case Management Program at the Centre, or
-
Acted as arbitrator in 3 arbitration cases (at least one of them institutional), with at least one case concluded with a reasoned award within the past 5 years.

The applicant must not have a final court judgment against them in a case involving dishonor or breach of integrity.

Renewal applications must be submitted through the Centre’s website and accompanied by the approved renewal fees.
